About me

Betty Moore-Hafter
EFT International Master Trainer of Trainers

I have a background in teaching and I loved my 20 years as a French teacher. But all through those years, I was on my own inner journey. I desperately needed to understand myself, face my own blocks and limitations, and end my negative and self-sabotaging patterns. I thought that I had walked away from the painfully low self-esteem of my adolescence and the difficult disconnect of my childhood where, as a highly sensitive person, I just never fit in. But I discovered that true healing and lasting change would involve embracing all parts of me.

As it turned out, my healing journey was the preparation for my own practice in the healing arts. This last two decades have been a joy as I’ve been able to creatively blend my favorite healing tools, EFT and hypnotherapy, to help others achieve breakthroughs in my practice called Creative EFT.

There is no greater gift we give to others, or to ourselves, than that of deep listening and presence. EFT and Inner Theater offer a way to respect the subconscious and give it an arena to accomplish healing from a very deep place within us. I love being able to share and teach this approach. Welcome to Inner Theater!

My EFT Journey

In 1998, I was a brand new hypnotherapist just beginning my practice when I was introduced to EFT. It amazed me that tapping on meridian points while focusing on our emotions and thoughts could give such relief — and also bring up insights and profound shifts of perspective. I had come to believe that we have to access the subconscious for deep and lasting healing. EFT was certainly accomplishing this. And so it seemed only natural to me to combine the imagery of our inner world, a gift of my hypnotherapy background, with my EFT work.

I called this my “inner theater” approach. Around 2010, my dear friend and colleague Jade Barbee helped me develop it further. However that is when we both became deeply involved with EFT International and EFT Training became the focus. I appreciate the opportunity I had to contribute as a long-time EFT International Training Board volunteer as well as other roles. I remain a Master Trainer of Trainers with EFT International, but consider myself semi-retired. I’m thrilled to return to my Inner Theater work. In my early 70’s now, I just want to do what brings me joy!

Why I Do This Work

The Keys To Our Healing Are Within

Trust The Process and It Will Do What It Needs To Do

I started my practice in the healing arts with the above guidelines and now, over 25 years later, they have proven to be more true than ever. Have you ever seen a little green shoot that has worked its way through concrete and is growing up through a crack in the sidewalk? Or a flower that has somehow found its way through a sheer rock cliffside and is blossoming there? I believe that the healing impulse in each of us is much like that.

Our inner wisdom wants to bring forth healing and wholeness, but it is buried within the sheer rock of our defenses and inner programming and protection. But the keys to our healing are within us and our personal healing work chips away at the resistance, allowing more of the healing to come through. The combination of inner imagery and EFT is particularly effective to accomplish this.

I do this work because I believe in it. I trust each person’s healing process and help facilitate whatever transformation is ready to occur. For me, there is nothing more meaningful than being a partner in healing and supporting this beautiful process for another.

"Inner Theater has provided a safe space for my body, mind, and inner self (unconscious mind & autonomic nervous system / spirit / life force) to both hear one another and be heard by one another. This increase in genuine communication with myself has been a deep part of my healing process and I am always in awe of the exquisite imagery and information that is gleaned from each session."

M.E., A Grateful Client

“The combination of EFT and Inner Theater is very powerful. The subconscious mind will use the inner imagery to guide a person to exactly the right place within the inner landscape at any given time, finding a way to bypass any potential control and resistance of the conscious mind."

Pia Mark

“I have found that Inner Theater takes EFT to a whole new level, and opens the doors for healing. Inner Theater provides me with a way in which to approach highly emotionally charged memories that is non-threatening to the client and is less traumatic than some more traditional approaches.”
